Perfect Flush Blush

My eveyday make-up essentials: foundation, powder, eyebrow pencil, lippie, and blush on. That's the most basic combo and very essential things for my everyday look.

Today, I am going to talk about my favorite blush on. I went to Sephora Malaysia one time. It was my very first Sephora visit. I bought my Naked Urban Decay and some make up on brands not found in the Philippines. I've come across this cute brand "Too Faced". The brand theme was so cute. One item caught my attention:

Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush

The heart shape blush on took my heart away. And it isn't all presentation. The product itself is perfection. It's the perfect flush blush for me. It's a mix of gold and pink. To compare it with my local favorite, Faceshop Baked Blush, I would say that their difference aside from the pink and white shimmer combination of the local brand as compared to gold and pink, would be the silk and fine texture of Too Faced. Highly noticeable.

This is my heart shaped blush now. It's almost empty. I am just so happy that my sister found this brand in Australia. I am blessed to have a sister who helps me complete my vanity kit.

Here's some of her 'pasalubong' (gift) for me. I am super in love with this blush on. The flush blush can really make you look glowing and blooming. People will really notice your vibrant glow and fresh appearance. It costs 39 aud good for almost one year use. It's a kikay must have.

Perfect Nails for Busy Women

Hi guys! I had been very busy last week. My pug delivered her puppies after the Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather fight, my cargo arrived and I had to clean up my stockroom to make room for the new stocks (hooray!) and I changed my hair color and the rest is history. Of course, Cherryfic is doing great. Good news. Hard work really pays off. I am so glad to be a hands on entrepreneur. All the busy days carrying heavy sacks of stocks are worth it. Girl power! I know there are a lot of women like me out there who are proactive in making their lives better. We don't just sit and wait for the money to come around. We work for it. I had to admit though that some of us who are so obsessed working hard, almost always forget the importance of pampering ourselves.

So my blog for today is all about beauty and wellness. Let's take a break from fashion and focus on nail care and spa. Yes! We women have different unique ways of killing stress. As for me, the best stress reliever is to have my nails pampered. I love to visit one prominent nail salon in Davao and get my nails cleaned, have a foot massage and a relaxing hand and foot spa. I am addicted to nail colors. I love manicure and pedicure. I always post my new nail colors on instagram.

I actually have a lot of nail selfies. Anyway, I find nail spa not only relaxing but also essential. When I was in Cebu Pacific, it is always a must to maintain clean nails. Chipped nails is a no no. So if you are a busy person and you only go to the nail spa at least once a month, thus you have to wait for a month before you change your nail color, I recommend that you try gel nails.

It is far more expensive than the ordinary nails. It costs around 850 pesos for manicure and a thousand pesos for pedicure but good thing is it will last a month or more. Say goodbye to chipped nails because gel nails will stick around and will be very hard to remove. Plus, for women like me who are impatient to wait  for the manicure to dry up, gel application is perfect because after the process you can use your shoes immediately. No more waiting.

Gel nail color is applied on the nails after cleaning. The hand is placed inside a UV ray emitting hand machine to dry up the gel. This process is repeated layer by layer.

On the negative side, upon removal of the gel, your nails will be soaked in acetone for ten minutes. This causes dryness and there are also reports that after removal of gel, nails are more likely to crack and will be damaged. So never ever forget to hydrate nails by using hand creams. Add biotin in your daily dose of vitamin supplement for more healthy and strong nails.

So there you have it! I have just shared my secret to relaxation and having beautiful nails. Hope you enjoyed reading.

Ladies, please don't ever forget to treat your self with a spa or nail care at least once a month. Life is too short to be ugly.

Keeping Up

I know right! This is the most daring post ever! I am not skinny. I am a girl with a huge built, somewhere between mesomorph and endomorph. Believe it or not I am a very conservative person. But in the name of fashion, I have to be bold and flexible. I have to keep up with the latest trends. Also, I feel like I am growing bigger and bigger each day and sooner or later I will be as enormous as everyone in the family. So I am posting this to remind myself that I have to enjoy this moment when I can still fit into my dresses at Cherryfic Finds. This will also serve as a challenge for me to be diet conscious.

So let's talk about weight management. Ouch! It has always been a challenge ever since. It may not be obvious but hey I am on a diet (lol). I often get comments like "hey! you gained weight" etc. Fine with me. No hurt feelings. There's nothing wrong with stating a fact but please know that I am trying my very best to manage my weight issues. Although I have been a little bit lax about it lately because somebody already makes me feel loved for who I am and whatever my shape is, I still owe myself some pampering and conditioning. After all, we feel better, more confident and happy with a healthy state of mind and body.

Unlike before, I am not taking any shortcuts in losing weight this time. I am doing it the healthy way. I jog and eat healthy foods. My only problem is I can't say no to sweets.

Thank goodness I know how to find the right angle in my pictures. Yep! I am still a work in progress. More weight to lose and more confidence to gain. Be with me in my journey to a sexier and more cherryfic me. In the next few days, I will write about my diet regimen. So don't forget to hit the follow button.

Teenage Dream

Hello there! To break the casual styling on my recent posts, I now bring you this new look and style which is more blog appropriate- bold, artistic and experimental. I feel like a teenage asian nerd. This playful outfit post is for the young gals including those who are young at heart. Love pullover top, nerdy glasses, pony tail, red lips, double layer black skater skirt and wedge shoes. What do you think of this combo? Definitely not my style but I'm rocking it. I actually like it.

Styling is not really my thing. Although I have learned a little bit from the internet like the basics of mix and match and color blocking, I admit that I still lack the skill. I feel the need to improve especially now that I am already focused on my clothing biz. There are more techniques to master. This got me thinking... what if I enrol to a fashion school? Well maybe not so soon. It could be later this year or next year or next next year. Maybe it will never happen (lol). But just the thought of it excites me because I have lots of clothes to mix and match and I have a store to promote. Here's more! I have a weird vision. I want to design clothes. I want to create my own dress and sell it in Bangkok and wholesalers from all over the world will buy my creations (lol). Only heaven knows if this is possible. I may be too ambitious. We could just laugh about it now but who knows? It may or may not happen. Right now, it will just be a dream.

Snap back to reality!

Thanks Savannah my pug, for being with me in this shoot. You are my favourite accessory. Until my next blog girls

Tassel T-Shirt

Embrace the latest trend in Bangkok. Tassel shirts and fringe crop tops for summer! This is Cherryfic's very own TASSEL SHIRT. Last month when I went to Bangkok, most shops sell shirts that are of this design. Tassel is a tuft of loosely hanging threads, cords or other material knotted at one end and attached on clothing. I know you've seen tassels on some furnitures. Yes! But I would have to agree that it looks perfect fine on clothes too.  I have also checked stores like Forever 21 and H&M outside Davao a month ago and they have many tasseled clothes to sell too. Trust me, in no time, it will reach Davao. So have your own tassel top and enjoy summer. Here's an everyday fashion you could copy.

Trendy, fashionable but wearable.

Black Ladies

Black is authoritative and powerful. It evokes strong emotions.
Black represents sophistication and the unknown.

I intentionally wore black last Tuesday to express my heartfelt sympathy to my former colleagues in GMA Network who were affected by the company's retrenchment. Tuesday, 28th of April 2015, the company announced who gets to stay and who were to leave. It was a very sad day to my friends in the media industry. To my surprise, Farah also wore black that day.

Even though black is a gloomy color, it was still a happy day for both of us. Farah went shopping at Melissa for new shoes and I got a new haircut. Bangs attack baby!

My simple OOTD

Pants: Stradivarius
Bag: Charles and Keith
Wedge: Charles and Keith

I am thankful for having a very supportive friend who is really very hands in styling my bangs. No doubt she's an owner of a salon. Thanks Farah!
