SM Eco Bag 2012 Launching

I know right! You may call me the leopard/cheetah queen now for being a fan of this animal print. Lol. I actually requested for another print of this top with the same style but to my dismay there's none and actually, this is the last remaining piece so I grabbed it. Still, I love it.

Earlier today, I hosted the launching of SM Eco Bag at SM Lanang Premier. It's on it's fourth year now since it was first launched in 2009. The Eco Bag is one of the projects of SM Cares in line with SM Supermall's environmental advocacy which is to create a cleaner and greener environment.

Not long ago, back in 2010, I also hosted the 2nd year anniversary and launching of this reusable bag. And I'm truly happy to be part of this advocacy once again.

Through the ECO BAG, SM changes the way we shop, and the way we take care of the environment.

Today SM also launched its SM CARES BEARS. For an amount of P 100.00 you'll get one "cares" bear for your self and another bear for those less fortunate children this Christmas.

Distinguished guests from different sectors came to engage for the change we all desire to create: increased level of awareness for the environmental concerns and responsible use of the natural resources and taking care of the environment.

Yours Truly :)

Mr. Jerome Yeo, Assistant Mall Manager SM Lanang Premier

It is only through the sincerity and proactive movement and partnership of the public and private sectors that advocacies like this push through and become a success.

On it's fourth year anniversary celebration, the 16 creative new designs were showcased. These designs were scrutinized and judged by experts as overwhelming entries from all over the country were submitted in the contest, "Design Your Eco Bag" which took off last year.

The design or print of the Eco Bag will serve as a wake-up call for everyone, reminding us that there's an urgent call for action to save the environment and that in our own simple ways, we can contribute towards it's preservation.

Something has to be done right here and right now before it is too late.

"Engage To Change" this year's theme. Congratulations SM Supermalls for coming up with this project. Hopefully, I'll see more Dabawenyos shopping carrying with them their Eco Bags. Let's altogether move towards a plastic-free city.
